Libyan Insurgency
From Epiverse
The Libyan insurgency refers to a certain insurgency organized from 2010-2017 in Libya. It was formed by natives in opposition to the government set up by New World in 2005. As the Third War drew to a close, and the NW was able to exert less and less control over it's puppet nations, the government became agressively more oppressive. The insurgency was on the virge of becoming completely ineffective when a nearby ADA peacekeeping operation brigade was hit by an organized splinter-NW group's attack. Most of the survivors, including an officer known only as Maj. Marcus, joined the struggling resistance forces, bolstering their ranks considerably. With their regained strength, the insurgency was able to wage effective guerilla warfare on the government, eventually overthrowing it after yet another ADA relief force - this time well organized and prepared - joined them in arms. The second releif force consisted notably of the Seattle's Few and other elements of the 76th. Those ADA troops that had joined the resistance the first time around went on to join the 76th, which was subsequently sent to the United States in order to help restore order in the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado.
This spurred many other Africans to rise against similar puppet governments, though none were as successful as the Libyan insurgency. Regardless, it is oft cited as an example of one of the great deeds of ADA relief forces in rooting out remaining New World influences.
