The term MOSNAGT Rifle refers to the first family of rifles designed under MOSNAGT, before the company's breakup during the Third War. Most were used extensively by the ASUN.

Iterations

MOSNAGT Rifle 1 was one of the most common rifles found in areas controlled or influenced by the ASUN. It was a rugged semi-automatic rifle with wooden furniture. The first production run was meant to be reloaded with stripper clips, but the rifle was quickly modified to load from detachable magazines, facilitating more rapid fire. A marksman variant was made with a heavier high-grade barrel, a smoother action, and mounted a standard PSO-1 scope.

MOSNAGT Rifle 2 is a derivative of the BSA Lee rifle, adapted to the standard Soviet 7.62x54mmR sniper round and returning to a traditional bottom loading magazine. The rifle was made with a wooden stock rather than the Lee's synthetic one.
